Change zone geometry

QUESTION:

How can I edit the geometry of a zone after it's been created ?

ANSWER:

When you create a zone object, you basically draw in the shape of the floor plan and ECOTECT automatically extrudes the walls and a ceiling. These extruded objects are all linked back to the main floor object. To edit the shape of the zone, simply select the floor object and drag its nodes into the required position. The walls and ceiling will automatically adjust to the new shape. If you have added windows to the walls of a zone and then changed its shape, ECOTECT will even update the window positions within the moved walls.

If you want angled walls or need to add more complex zonal geometry, simply unlink the objects (Edit Menu » Unlink Objects) you need to modify or delete the unwanted components and add new ones. As long as you have the desired zone set as current, any new objects you add will belong to that zone.
