The ECOTECT material library is completely customisable - you can add new materials, delete existing one and change any property at any time. You can also load and save any number of customised libraries for your office or for sharing with other users.
ECOTECT stores material information in both centralised library files as well as within each model itself. Thus, if you create your own customised materials for a particular job and then email the model to someone else, all of the model materials will still be available to them.
The central libraries also make transferring materials between models very simple and easy.
