Direct and Diffuse Radiation On a Plane

Hi!

I am trying to get the Beam and the Diffuse radiation on a surface for a year. In the Solar Exposure I can have values for a sigle day. So I imagine tha tis is a Scripting method. I found that on scripting you can calculate this using the commands get("shading.diffuse") get("shading.direct")
The problem is that I don;t know Scripting, I am trying to learn now, and i don't know how to build this script.

Any help

Thanks,
Kordou

Direct and diffuse radiation

Kordou,

Fortunately, you do not need a script.
If instead of Single day you choose Total Monthly (it's a drop down menu), you'll get values for the entire year, broken down for each month. The total is a summation of the months, i.e., a yearly value.
To differentioate between dirext and diffused values, use the toggle option " Direct Light only". Doing so will give you the direct radiation values only, which you can then substract from the global values ( with the option turned off) to get diffused only.

Best,
Olivier

Thank You

Kordou,

be careful with the solar exposure calculations, I think there's a bug in the way they deal with shading masks. Have a look at my "Wrong shading masks?" thread in the solar forum.

Best,

Fran
