Further to my comments on the Pycho tool, and Olivier's feedback, I have now had a look at the Weather tool. I note that the weather tool is a "pre-design" tool, as a consequence this has great potential for designers.
It would be great if all this functionality was embeded within Ecotect. By providing a greater degree of integration with Ecotect it would allow a more iterative design process to be developed thus ensuring that the success/failure of a design can be assessed more accurately i.e. it would allow a broader assessment of comfort conditions and the possible design criteria/options available within the actual design.
Attached are a few thoughts/comments and queries on the Weather Tool. Coming at the software blind I have a number of observations, all of which I mean to be constructive.
Central to some of these propositions is the belief a certain quantity of briefing information and a number of rudimentary design assumptions should be available prior to using the Weather Tool is a means of developing the brief even further.
Please feel free to put me straight where I have erred as I am not sure whether it is reasonable to expect everything that I ask from the Weather Tool
Cheers,
Mark
