Transparency for thermal simulation

QUESTION:

Transparency: I guess this is not used by the thermal simulation in ECOTECT... is this correct ?

ANSWER:

Transparency is used in the thermal calc to determine if particular elements contribute direct solar gain to a space (this way you can have a semi-transparent glass wall without making it a window).
